As long as drugs aren’t legalized or at the very least decriminalised such deaths are inevitable. If you are a plug for a famous celeb who ODs it’s prison time and if it’s a young broke person, it’s just an another unfortunate Friday.

A real drug dealer would have gotten less so I dont know why people are confused by this.

His death could’ve been prevented, he was young🥲🥲🥲

Personally I feel this sentence is a bit harsh. He immediately cooperated and testified against the main dealer. Further, I get it he was selling ketamine outside of a medical context, but the spin of “illegal street drug” by the judge feels a little misplaced when Perry was already receiving ketamine from doctors to treat depression, something well studied and absolutely acceptable.

Additionally, with Perry taking ketamine from legit clinics, he would’ve been told repeatedly to not take ketamine near water. A lot of the sentences have been especially harsh in this case, seemingly to because it’s a high profile case, but the only reason Michael Perry is dead is because he ignored warnings and acted recklessly. If he had done the exact same thing using the legal ketamine he had, no one would be prosecuted.

This guy upped the price because he knew he was selling to a celebrity. This person can’t be a drug counselor and then act surprised someone ODs after receiving large quantities of drugs.

    6. Was it the ketamine that killed him, or did he pass out in water? Wouldn’t it take an insane amount of k to kill you?

The amount of arrests and indictments in the death of Matthew Perry honestly pmo. As someone from an area ruined by the opioid crisis, if this was a normal person, they would not give a singular fuck. Matthew Perry was receiving ketamine therapy, and bought some more ketamine to get high off of, and used it in infamously the one place you shouldn’t use ketamine. As a side note: I’ve read his memoir, and throughout he claims that his drug addiction is the worst that ever existed, excused abusive/toxic behavior, and will not hold himself accountable for the life he lives.

I don’t know why the courts are handling this like it’s akin to MJ’s death, the level of direct responsibility is not at all the same
