Directed by Travis Knight (‘Kubo and the Two Strings’) and releases Oct 23:

    >The story follows Prue McKeel, a headstrong teenager whose baby brother is abducted by a murder of crows, sending her into the Impassable Wilderness, an enchanted forest hidden just beyond Portland, Oregon. Joined by Curtis Mehlberg, her loyal classmate, Prue enters a world of talking animals, bandits, and powerful figures whose grief and ambition have helped push the forest toward crisis.

Is this video unlisted? It’s not appearing on the Laika YouTube channel.

Haven’t loved any of Laika’s movies besides Coraline (Kubo was good but not amazing), but I’ll still support this, as I hope everyone will

  6. ‘From the *hands* that crafted’ is a really lovely touch.

Nice match-cutting in the first part of the trailer.

Love that they predominatly had it be dialogue free. Wish more people did that.

  7. Breathtaking. But it does beg the question, why stop motion if you’re going to make it so perfect that it’s indistinguishable from CG?

  8. Jesus Christ the artistry here is incredible. So whimsical and detailed.

    Can’t wait.

Holy FUCK. Everything this studio puts out is gold, but this looks like it might blow it all out of the water. On top of looking like one of the most beautiful trailers I’ve ever seen. This looks incredible.

A movie based on the book written by the guy from the Decemberists and they *dont* use a Decemberists song in the trailer? Lame

/s – looks amazing and I can’t wait to see it

I really don’t like that it’s a fathom event because they’re gonna up charge the hell out of it. But I will be there.

Labyrinth plot + LAIKA = me in theaters opening weekend

Praying Peyton Elizabeth Lee (Andi Mack) is the right choice of lead.
