Couldn’t tell you who Madison Beer is but that’s undeniable…

I love Madison and she’s one of my favourites but these do look basically the same🫤 I don’t think that’s a bad thing but I find it crazy that her team signed off on the tour design. There’s no way it isn’t modelled after Sabrina’s. The sets are clearly extremely similar.

Generally speaking, I’m very much an “everyone has different taste in music” person, but for the life of me I cannot figure out the Madison Beer hype. She’s gorgeous (in an uncanny valley way) and seems perfectly nice, but she has absolutely no charisma to me and the music just isn’t good enough to explain this level of fame. I genuinely don’t understand how she became as huge as she is.
CandelaBelen on
Not surprising at all. Madison Beer has never had her own musical identity. She has no originality

i find these all very common designs actually? i went to flo’s concert a few months back and they did the curtain thing too (incredible show btw)
Basic_KaleKitty9076 on
What company is she renting the stage from? Few own their own touring companies. It might be the same stage just mixed up a little.

Kali Uchis had a similar set in 2023. It’s just stairs and a balcony

ok not speaking on the set designs but that’s a fairly common tee shirt design. i have a very similar baby blue tee shirt with neil young’s face on it lol

Yes Baby is pretty good

Oh… that’s not…

You can probably do this with every major artist and their sets. Set designs, as creative as they can be, are very limiting due to the parameters they have to work in. And ofc her tour tshirts are going to be her tour theme. Sabrina wasn’t the first to do it and Madison won’t be the last lol

Not to be rude to Ms Beer but I have heard the name Madison Beer at least once a year since I think Vine was a thing (a decade??) and she seems to be doing well? But I have no idea who she is???? I have never heard a single one of her songs???
longlisten527 on
I’ve seen so many artists with these backgrounds. One set is literally princess themed while the other is not also.. idk this is dumb
thoseguyshatedme on
Oof. I mean that was a really fun tour – I understand why she/her team would wanna do something similar but this is just crazy. Some of the comments here are making it seem like it’s just the stage but it also seems like it has similar production and camera operations too?? Just going off the pics here

I have no idea who Madison Beer is but if you showed me the top photos without any context I would’ve totally thought they were from Sabrina’s tour
HarveySpevacuum on
Similar? Yes. But that’s a generational thing… the way that Christina and Britney looked alike. Or Avril and idk… Ashley Simpson… neither one invented the wheel and very likely have no input in their looks or images either. Let’s be real.

There’s only so many ways to do this kind of themeing and this is hardly original to Sabrina.
Soft_Interaction_437 on
I like Maddison, but she doesn’t really have a stylistic identity of her own. So this isn’t really surprising. I hope she finds one though, I think she’s talented and seems to be genuinely passionate about music.

I mean… I guess? Madison’s just looks worse, so it doesn’t really compare to them. I could see the comparison of Sabrina’s being like the Broadway full budget version, and Madison’s is like that cheaper low budget local theater production.
I don’t think you really get them confused when they’re not side by side

To me, having never seen footage of Madison Beer’s tour, I feel like from these pictures her set kinda looks like fairy tale princess vibes while during the Short n’Sweet tour I rember thinking Sabrina’s felt very Barbie Dreamhouse. I guess both appeal to girlhood, but I think they have slightly different aesthetics (which you can even see on the t shirts in slide three). Also, it feels totally normal to me to see two singers sing lying down or to see two pop stars put their face on their t shirts

To be fair Madison Beer has been doing the pastel corset, ribbon in hair aesthetic for a while but tbh it never stuck aaand SC blew up so that look has been associated with SC
walkingtalkingdread on
sorry but the t-shirts just made me laugh. we’re gatekeeping colors?
Cold_Hour on
Similar in what way???, cause these two look nothing alike from the fact they have similar colours and a circular platform….

Has anyone looked into who did the stage design? It looks to ms like they hired the same person or company to design and plan, and they are reheating nachos here.

I’m not trying to be rude, just wanna be honest. I can’t name 1 Madison Beer song. Not even a feature that I know of.

stairs, balconies, aerial shots, heart motifs, dancing behind a curtain. seen this done a million times by britney, gaga, beyonce, janet, etc. none of this belongs to sabrina.

These two concepts are the most basic shit I’ve seen just stop 😭✋Generic lazy safe designs are going to look the same of course no matter how many variations there are

First time hearing that Madison Beer actually has enough material to go on tour. I remember when they tried to associate her with Justin Bieber back when she was a teenager and her musical career never really took off.
Immernichts on
Not saying that she/her team couldn’t be copying Sabrina but I think they’re both drawing on the same feminine aesthetics that are popular right now. I’ve seen very similar stuff from other pop girlies like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Lana Del Rey, and Olivia Rodrigo.

Does it really matter? Is there a story, worth being told, on either one of these two shows? The tickets will sell as long as they’re still young and beautiful.
Musical artists who put on elaborate, emotionally nuanced and technically difficult shows do it because they’re capable, let these girls be pretty on-stage and move on.
