  1. I loved it.

Jon Bernthal is unreal as always but it is a little bit, been there done that

Simply story and a bit retread yes, but Bernthal is fantastic and still one of the greatest comic book castings ever plus the action was INSANE.

Do you want to see The Punisher meets The Raid? Then this is for you!

honestly i’m just happy they’re letting jon bernthal fully lean back into frank castle again because he absolutely carried that role the first time around. hoping they keep the tone gritty instead of over-marvelizing it too much

This was an action movie. I mean it had a story. I was Luke warm on Frank’s characterization but whatever

Dark, but true to his Netflix show. Kinda confused on the message. 90% of it was “Frank is fucking nuts” but then the girl hands him a flower and now it’s all good?

Curb stomped the fuck out of that dude.

Marvel: See punisher in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man this summer!!!

This definitely felt like it was more a backdoor pilot for a new Punisher series, less of a one-off.

    I hope so.

How does a billion dollar company with hundreds people eyes on this project, just go “yea that’s fine” with that CGI falling scene.

  8. There’s…very little story here. And it ends right when things get interesting. That said I still very much enjoy every second I can get of Bernthal as the Punisher and this feels like more of a test to see if the audience is there for a new show or even a movie than a stand alone.

And this should have come out before Born Again as it sets the stage for why NY might be willing to vote in a tough on crime mayor despite the baggage.
