Dave upstaged his protege Chris Elliot and stole the movie “Cabin Boy” with this, his only screen appearance (outside of voice work and playing himself) as Old Salt in Fishing Village, aka Earl Hoebert. Even as a huge Chris fan, the movie is pretty bad. But this scene is a reminder of how effortlessly hilarious peak Dave was.
