Does anyone remember that he made a movie with a similar plot- Little Odessa? I actually liked that movie quite a bit but is this rehashing it? Lol

It looks like they’re emulating a time but it really looks like emulation. It looks too modern.
Let it be known that Ad Astra was one of the most beautiful yet painfully dull movies I’ve ever seen. The shots on the moon were amazing and so were the planets but everything else just felt meh.

I feel like this will play to Gray’s strengths better than Ad Astra and Lost City of Z did. I left both of those films feeling like the scope was a bit too broad. I love it when a director aims big, but I’m excited to see what he does with a more grounded narrative.
