Arnold does love having battles in malls

The timing required to get the stuntman to hit that big swing from one side of the mall onto a descending elevator is just awesome.

As a kid growing up in the 80s, Schwarzenegger’s action movie run is unfuckwithable. I cut my hair in middle school to look like him in Commando.
Any of his roles in Conan, Predator, Running Man, Commando, Terminator would be career highlights for other actors. Then he pivots and does a turn in comedy with DeVito, when everyone thought he was one-note. Love that dude.

A perfect action movie!

Amazing 80s vibe movie. The bad guys meet in a crowded mall restaurant for a shady deal lol

I like how the guard described Arnold. “Suspect 6’2, brown hair, one gigantic motherfuckerrrrr”

If you watch 48 hours with Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte, there’s a similar car chase scene with a similar soundtrack with the same guy.

fully grown adults in the 80s watched this and genuinely thought “hell yeah”

Did he not also have a chase/brawl in a mall in Kindergarten Cop (1990)?

Was that a stuntman when Matrix gets hit by the car?

Some serious Captain Kirk-ido happening there. And why didn’t the guy just shoot Arnold when he’s standing in front of the phone booth ? 80’s action movies logic. That’s why

I always get a kick out of “cops pile on and Arnold shrugs them off superhero comic book style”. Good times.

I eat green berets for breakfast, and right now I’m *very hungry*. This movie is pure gold.

I feel like this had to have been influenced by Jackie Chan Police Story, or perhaps vice versa. So similar in some ways.

Commando may not be a good movie. But it is a truly excellent bad movie.

man screw anyone that says this movie isn’t great, this is easily one of the top 5 Action movies of all time, simple plot, no drawn out character stuff, just get to the action.

I really like the vibes of the mall in the 80s. They seemed so much more fun back then.

Nice of the guy to only shoot once while Arnold took his time ripping the phone booth out of the ground.

I always assume that this fight is happening while Rat is hitting on Jennifer Jason Leigh in Fast Times
