I bought this on a whim over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The action was solid and shot super well. The performances were great. The direction and cinematography were outstanding. I was also surprised that the trailer didn't give away the actual plot of the movie. Its rare a film actually holds back the big reveal like they did here. Didn't see it coming at all.
Oh and seriously that darkness flaming fire axe fight scene was so fucking dope. When she lit that axe on fire and went back into that dark room and the music slowly starts ramping up as she fucks up the entire room of baddies. I watched that shit three damn times.

sounds like a wild ride! that fire axe scene you mentioned already has me hyped to check it out. always nice when a movie surprises you with its plot too.
We went out of our way to hit up the AMC Screen Unseen specifically because it was leaked that this would be the film. Just a good romp, with lots of homages and a comical amount of blood. Definitely recommend!
The final battle had me laughing pretty good 🐷🗡️
honestly? it was so much fun. Zazie was just electric in it, it was so well filmed and paced, I ended up going to see it 3 times in theaters because it just is a blast to watch with other people. Will definitely continue to rewatch it for many years to come

I watched it this weekend and had fun with it, I went in fairly blind so had no idea what to expect.
Some of the fights were really well choreographed and shot and the gore was neat. It also didn’t overstay its welcome at about 90 minutes.
It was a ton of fun. It wasnt a success box office wise. But I am so glad it was made
