I’m pretty happy about this news. Even though this ran for three seasons I feel like it’s an under the radar show. The fact that it’s getting a physical release feels like a miracle in & of itself let alone one with a little care put in it (some nice extras & fitting cover art).
Julie Klausner & Billy Eichner have fantastic chemistry. They’re an absolutely nightmarish codependent duo failing on the margins of the entertainment industry. I think it develops over time though & isn’t just one dimensional.
It’s not as funny as *30 Rock*, I feel like it’s a spiritual successor of sorts though. There is some great world building creating their Bizarro version of New York City. There’s so many fantastic cameos & guest appearances as well including Tina Fey, Debbie Harry, Nathan Lane & Julianne Moore
Obviously you don’t have to splurge on tbe set to check it out since it’s still on Hulu. I recommend giving it a shot. I think it’s a fantastic funny series.
