During the 76th FIFA Congress, President Gianni Infantino asked the head of the Palestinian federation, Jibril Rajoub, to shake hands with his Israeli counterpart as a gesture of peace; Rajoub rejected the request and left the stage telling the crowd “We are suffering!”

Asking the oppressed to shake hands with his oppressor is absolutely not reading the room.

I know we’ve all been taught to believe that sports are among one of the great unifiers. Which is true. But they are not a unifier for subjugation, oppression, and genocide. Kicking a ball around will not make people forget murder lol

  5. Infantino was praised when he first took over FIFA cause he seemed legit, what a joke he turned out to be

A better gesture for peace would be for FIFA to not hold the games in the US at all.

Give trump the bullshit FIFA Peace prize. US gives billions to Israel to continue to commit genocide against Palestinians. Ask the Palestinians to “suck it up” and shake Israeli counterpart’s hand for the sake of unity.

Read the room. People are dead. People are suffering. People are being tortured. I wouldn’t shake hands either.

When will the world realize that Israel needs to be treated as the Nazi terrorist state that it is? People are suffering and whole families are being systematically exterminated. Sanctions now.
