The story was solid, giving audiences a familiar picture of the political environment during that time. Michael Douglas and Annette Bening were both amazing. My favorite scene is the speech by President Andrew Shepherd (Michael Douglas) to the press core. For those of you that watched the movie, what is your favorite bit? I love it, just watched it the other day again. Still holds up.
Great film. The ending speech is peak Sorkin writing and a glimpse of West Wing.
One of my favorites. Give me any movie or TV show where the president just seems like a decent guy who is genuinely interested in the welfare of the country (unlike all the real presidents).
If you like this and want something a little lighter, I can recommend *Dave* with Kevin Kline, as a presidential look-alike who is tapped to act as the president when the real president is incapacitated.
I love this movie. I love Sleazy Michael Douglas, but Presidential Michael Douglas is shockingly effective.
Great film, I love it!
Also, Michael J. Fox steals every scene he’s in.
One of my all time favorites
No hopping sir.
