Goddamn Paddy Chayefsky was an *amazing* writer.
Fantastic movie
Amazing scene, and ridiculous to think that Ned Beatty won an Oscar nomination basically for this scene alone.
I have never seen Ned Beatty in a movie where he wasn’t awesome. He plays so many different kind of parts and is totally real in every one.
Brave New World is what he describes. So menacing.
If it were me instead of Howard Beale: “Umm I’m sorry, I started daydreaming after you closed the curtains. What did you say?”
