Just stumbled upon this video on YT and it's one of my favorite scenes, so emotional.

It talks about the times of WW2 where Guido and his family get taken to a concentration camp, and since he doesn't want his son to be scared, he acts as if the whole thing is a big tournament. In this scene (men and women are separated) they get ahold of the microphone to talk to her.

Been watching this movie since I was a kid❤️

Director: Roberto Benigni, Italy 1997

I always hated this dumbass movie. He makes the Holocaust look like the most fun ever. Like it was just a game that you could easily clown your way through.

That kid grew up remembering the Holocaust as the best time of his life.

  2. I watched it 15 years ago and it’s the most beautiful movie I never want to watch again.

And do you guys want to know the most wholesome thing? Dora is actually Roberto’s wife in real life 🥹

  5. in 1999 (or 1998) a movie theater chain specializing in foreign and independent films (in the U.S.) did a movie poll of what the customers favorite foreign film was- La Vita e Bella won by a serious margin.
