‘Wicked’ star Marissa Bode has spoken out after she was denied boarding on a flight with Southern Airways due to her disability: “Why are we once again waiting around for a disabled person to be present to even think about changing things”
Bless Marissa for speaking out about this at every turn. She’s using her voice for not just fellow disabled people, but the elderly, temporarily injured people, and anyone who doesn’t have full physical mobility during flight.
Everyone deserves to be and feel accommodated within good faith and reason. This mess she’s been going through is unacceptable and I sincerely hope her speaking up amounts to change.

Was she the same one who spoke up about an airline also damaging or breaking her wheelchair too?
These companies are disgusting and it’s why I’d never even attempt to fly until I can walk again (hopefully! )

Just months ago, United Airlines destroyed her partner’s wheelchair. Apparently it’s a common problem with airlines. So fucking frustrating that disabled folks still have to fight so hard for even a sliver of human dignity.
