I’ll miss Jaz Sinclair’s Marie and Maddie Phillips’ Cate Dunlap the most…although they might be seen in Vought Rising again.

This is sad because I really liked the cast and the first season. The writing for season two was honestly just a mess.

  3. Just shoot a quick scene with Homelander wiping them all out and add it to the series finale of The Boys.

Why tf did they cancel it? It was low key better than the boys. Idk why they’d do this

  5. > we’re committed to continuing the ‘Gen V’ characters’ stories in ‘The Boys’ Season 5

I thought this was implied at the end of season 2 anyway

I mean I kinda assumed that. The way season 2 ended I assumed their stories would wrap up in the final season of The Boys, haven’t watched any of it yet so idk if that came true.

It had some good momentum towards the end of the first season but second season went off the rails.

The second season was such a letdown. I don’t see why it would continue post The Boys anyway

I thought S02 was always gonna be the last one…eventually lead into the final season of The Boys.

No point in keeping it around since it was literally made to continue the story within the boys future seasons.

  11. They should have renewed it for a 3rd and final season. Such ashame. Also wouldn’t cancelling Gen v raise more uncertainty for vought rising and the boys Mexico

Gen V was operating at the same tone as the Boys for me. Added more world building, got some younger perspectives in without reducing any of the stakes or violence. Season 2 was really better than it needed to be given that they lost one of their main actors.

I hope they basically have a satisfying conclusion in the Boys because it sucks to see a spinoff so storytelling the right way and be cancelled regardless.

  13. Loved season 2… I liked it better than season 4 or 5 of the boys so far and it was significantly better than season 1 of gen V.

Seems like it was too niche and the hype from the boys is dying so no need to continue a spin off when the main show is ending and this one never had the traction of the original. Shame

  14. I’m actually looking forward to Vaught Rising, and getting the backstory of Soldier Boy and the other first supes.

RIP Chance Perdomo. He unfortunately passed days before filming for season 2 was set to begin. They postponed it to just a little over a month later. I’m sure there was pressure from higher ups to pivot as fast as possible. Horrible situation, I feel for his family and friends – losing someone that young is devastating.

  16. I liked a lot the first season of Gen V it was such a good show but i Can see why the passing of one of the leads was damaging to the whole season, its too much on the actors too.

Why are there so many suprised it was canceled? It feeds right into the final season of the Boys and would have been silly to continue it past that story concluding without diluting what they have planned for the series finale.

I didn’t expect this to continue, there is a reason Rising is a prequel.

Omg no, i still havent gotten around to watching season 2 but season 1 was so good!
