I really hope they push this through. This would be so convenient to know which films/series contain this propaganda so we can easily avoid it altogether.

Next up, disclaimers for media containing non-whites, non-Christians, modern medicine, science, tolerance, etc….

  3. Watch Bad Mistakes while you can… Hilarious drama of a quirky criminal blackmail kinda show…8 episodes, hope they make a season 2

    Very pro LGBTQ

  4. Is that all this sub is anymore? 3 nothing to do with politics threads have been removed today for who the hell knows what but all the politically charged ones always remain

This is why orange assholes get elected

I get that we’re in a control-the-narrative first and ask questions later world, but a request for input on whether a new label should be added to the list of labels they already have isn’t quite the type censorship I was expecting based on the picture.

I’m against it, and Carr has shown little restraint in dealing with speech generally, but I also wish people would trust their audiences enough to lay out the facts without hitting them over the head with telling them how to feel about something.

Crying about disclaimers of what type of content you are about to watch. Are they afraid that people stop watching? What’s the point?

  7. Even if they don’t succeed or if bans would be challenged. If FCC is adding more pressure you can bet studios won’t green light lgbt characters and stories in case anything succeeds in future. Ti avoid losing money. Read in one article this is already happening for shows by Black showrunners is being toned down or pulled if it mentions racism. Disney already pulled some trans characters in its shows due to pressure groups.

Its not as if lgbt content is that strong now. some big movies sometimes present lgbt stories in a way where it can cut for countries with strict laws. Birds of prey was one where it was a easily cut voice over during an animated sequence. So its never big plot point but kinda thrown way or has no depth

  8. How about we juat tell stories, if they have violence, sexual content or mature themes. Rate it that way and move on, the rest can be decided by the parents or watcher. At the same time, pandering or forcing themes helps no one same with “gotcha” scenes. Just tell a story, if it well written it doesn’t matter whos gay and whos not.
