Quinn somehow bottling the Kyle Butler lead in Season 5 was one of the dumber things a cop did in this show, and that’s saying a lot.

I hope our expectations will be subverted when Masuka makes his way up in s3 only to tell Dexter how much he really admires his passion for justice. Vince does not try to help, he only encourages and provides snacks for all times Dexter supplied donuts.
No need to die since he doesn’t even care to impede the process.

I wish they would stop finding ways to get the old Miami Metro gang involved. Leave the past in the past. Who’s next? Chief Matthews? Batista’s sister? Harrison’s arch nemesis the Treadmill?

I guess this sets up a Season 3 for Masuka to come to town to investigate the death of his friend who came to town to investigate the death of their other friend but who’s going to investigate Masuka’s death? Are there any characters from the original series that are still alive after all that?

I honestly love this. Say what you want about Joey Quinn, but he was one of the very few people at Miami Metro who actually figured out there was something seriously wrong with Dexter, and then made the incredibly smart survival decision to just completely look the other way.
I really hope they finally address that unresolved tension and the whole Stan Liddy situation now that Dexter’s secret is officially out in the open.

I really hope they have a different arc for him instead of the same ones they gave Doakes, Laguerta, and Batista
Doakes suspects/pursues Dexter and ends up dead.
Laguerta finds Doakes’ death suspicious and suspects/pursues Dexter and ends up dead.
Batista finds Laguerta’s death suspicious and suspects/pursues Dexter and ends up dead.
