To me, Akiva Goldsman is the „we have x at home“ writer of hollywood.
Did he write good scripts in the past? Yes.
Do I immediately feel repulsed from a project whenever I see his name attached? Also yes.

I mean, despite the problems we know of Will, I Am Legend to me was a solid post-apocalyptic film that has roots dating back to 1971 (Omega Man) and 1964 (Last Man on Earth) and even 1954 (the book). Will had made a good portrayal at his own Robert Neville and I genuinely will be intrigued to see what they do next.
