Hi everyone and best of luck for the new film!
* Thomas: as a co-writer of the Taxi remake, why do you think it wasn’t able to capture the same level of reception as the original
* Gille: you grew up in numerous countries around the world (same as me). Do you feel this had an impact on your artistic process? And bonus question: did you not find it hard to make and maintain new friendships every time you moved?
* Cameron: you seem to be a multitasker! IMDB has you at 63 producing credits, 29 acting credits, 19 directing credits, 16 editing credits, 19 production management credits, 9 writing credits and so on…how did you get your start, transition to other roles and what do you enjoy more?
* Clay: this is your first feature writing credits, which you also produced and are starring in after mostly featuring in shorts. Congrats! How did you swing it?
that sounds like a fun mix with the buddy-comedy and horror vibes, what was the inspiration behind the film?
Hi 👋
When a scene isn’t working the way you imagined, how do you figure out whether the issue is in the writing, the direction, or the performance?
buddy comedy horror in a cabin sounds like my weekend plans minus the rich part lol
Thomas can you recommend that I go heli skiing
Hello Thomas Lennon do you think The State will ever come back to do one more season like Kids in the Hall did recently?
I understand that you are good friends with Al Yankovic, and that you also enjoyed several guest spots with Craig Ferguson. If and when you hang out together with these guys, what are the snacks of choice?
Hi – will there be any boot goofin’ in the movie?
Thomas has a solid list of voice acting on Wikipedia but this movie doesn’t have an article. Do you think that will impact awareness of the movie? Seems there has been little advertisement.
Your stint as live commentator for the Oscars was comedy gold. Is working live worth the adrenaline rush or is it just too nerve wracking to ever work live again?
Hey everybody! Huge fan of yours for years, especially of Thomas as Dangle in Reno 911 and I am so glad the show made a comeback.
Question for Thomas first off: When it came to the creative process of Reno 911, especially since it was mostly improv, where did you guys and gals as creators and actors draw inspiration from for your characters? It was always so fascinating to see you all play off of one another.
And one more question for everybody, what is your favorite comedy IP? Movie, show, skit anything.
Hey Thomas Lennon — loved you since The State — fellow screenwriter — but of all the great things you’ve done in this business — I think your guest appearance on the HDTGM podcast NO HOLDS BARRED episode is tops for me.
When are you writing the reboot and bringing this Hulk Hogan classic back to life?
Hi Tom! Been a huge fan of you since The State! Still sing porcupine racetrack all the time!
Is there a State sketch you’re particularly proud of?
Hi Thomas! Reno 911! was probably some of my formative memories on my style of humour (alongside some classic Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther)
My question is: any good stories about hotpants-related bloopers on the show? How many times did you split a pair?
Hello! Question 1 is for Thomas specifically, question 2 is for all of you 😊
1) Was RENO911 the biggest risk you’ve ever taken creatively?
2) Where would you be if you hadn’t followed your dream? And who has helped you most along the way to get to where you are now?
Hey Thomas! Huge fan of your cast filmography, but I must ask – do you still have the ostrich boots?
For Thomas Lennon: Thank you for bringing us back to the days when every man in shorts looked like John Stockton. Grown-ass men should not be wearing shorts below their knees like their mom just dropped them off at the skate park.
Do you and the baby from Harold & Kumar 3 still party together? Did you have an enjoyable time making that film? Do any particular moments stand out to you while making that? Thank you. I love your work.
For Thomas Lennon: Reno 911 had a huge list of guest stars that did cameos or other appearances in the show. Who was your favorite to work with? And who was the funniest?
Are you still new boot goofin’, and if so, how often are you new boot goofin’?
Hi Thomas. Can you give us a great Matthew Perry moment when you were working together on the Odd Couple?
Hey Tom! How much convincing if all did it take to dress you up in a gimp costume in one of the Kraftwerk bits on Craig’s Late Late Show?
Hey Tom I’ve been watching Reno like crazy lately, any chance that a season 9 is in the works?
Hey Thomas!! I love reno 911 it’s always been a comfort show to me and makes me crack the hell up. Do you still keep in touch with any of the cast? And are there any scenes or episode that stands out to you the most? Anything with you and Nick swardson just kills me. Thanks for doing this!!
Any good stories with Robin Williams?
Is Junior dangle’s bff on the police force?
Thomas- has anyone ever told you that you and Matt LeBlanc have the same hands?
Everyone- what would you do at the end of the world?
For Thomas: what was your inspiration for Porcupine Racetrack?
Question for everyone, I’m doing a survey for work; who would win in a fight, a hot dog or a grilled cheese sandwich? Thank you for your time.
How did Klaus from HIMYM come about? Did you have a German accent on standby? And do you have any stories about the speech Klaus gave Ted right before he met Tracy?
Hi, what inspired this movie and if you were in a horror movie franchise which one would you pick?
Hey all, I’ll keep it easy with one question for the four of ya….
What’s one snack that each of you need to have on set at all times? I’m talking an absolute must, and if it’s not there when the need strikes, then someone in craft services is looking for a new gig!
Hi Tom. Thank you for making me laugh during my darkest times.
Reno 911 is on my comedy mt Rushmore and I thought the newest seasons were just as funny as the original. Please tell me you are working on a new season again? It seems like the type of show that could go on forever…
Edit: oh sorry, I just realized that Thomas isn’t the only one the ama is for. Um… what’s y’all’s favorite colors?
Why Wisconsin?
Love your work! We need to know, what is your favorite sandwich?
Hi to all 4, thanks for joining us 🙂
A question to all: If you could only bring 3 movies with you on a deserted island to watch for the rest of your life, what would they be? Bonus question: Best and worst pizza topping?
You are a genius, thank you for your service. Also, when are we getting a season 9 of Reno and may I pretty please be a writer on it?
1. For fifteen years my dad and I have beyond excited about a movie you joined called The Wee McGinty. We were so curious to see what you would do with what already sounded like a crazy fun concept. All this time we’ve only been able to imagine what it would be like. Would you ever post a copy of your version of the script or provide us with some details here please? Like what you did with it, who your character was and what you felt was funniest.
2. Do you have a Dream project you haven’t been able to make yet? Either a story you couldn’t break or something studios just wouldn’t buy. This way we have something new to obsess over for the next fifteen years.
Big fans, thank you for all the laughs.
Hey Thomas, Wisconsin born here, glad you found sanctuary in our state. I don’t have a question, I just wanted to say, you are a fantastic actor, and I am a huge fan of your work. My wife and I met and bonded over our love for the movie 17 Again and it’s still a staple when we need a breather from the world. Look forward to any and all work you continue to bring out!
Thomas Lennon how does it feel to be my 17th favorite screenwriter and also to write films as good as The Reno 911 movie, The Pacifer, Herbie Fully Loaded and Balls of Fury.
