Cool, so the corporations getting these refunds are going to put their prices back to pre tariff prices, and send us refunds for the higher prices we paid, right? Right?

  2. >FedEx has said it will pass refunds [back to the customers](https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/fedex-says-will-return-customers-refunds-gets-back-trumps-illegal-tari-rcna260941) it shipped goods for, since it was those customers who footed the bill for the tariffs in the first place. Costco has suggested it could lower prices if it gets money back, but some shoppers [are already suing the retailer](https://www.wsj.com/business/retail/costco-sued-by-customer-over-tariff-refund-42e7c3c4), unconvinced that a vague promise of cheaper goods is good enough.

they should all be MANDATED to pass the savings onto the consumer just like they passed the debt onto the consumer. i feel this will just end up more socialism for the rich.

  3. There is so much too that is unquantifiable. I cannot source 70% of my materials domestically anymore (or at any reasonable price for that matter) because these tariffs drove my suppliers out of business. It’s made life so much harder for small businesses; it feels like that was actually baked in though :/ How evil from top to bottom.

  4. Are they refunding or are they just taking applications for a refund? When the companies actually get the money let me know, because I don’t think that is ever going to happen

As a business owner there is some hope of recouping some losses. Average consumer? You’re getting nothing.

Wasn’t it like “17 trillion” they took in or something? Where’d the trillions go?

Another wealth transfer. Our government is literally stealing from us and yet we keep working. General strike when?!?!

They should be required ti issue refund to the consumers, not the businesses. But it won’t happen. So now we rest till they bend us over the barrel again.

  9. How much money did Trump waste forcing everyone to adopt to his illegal tariffs, having agencies collect the tariffs, manage the tariff deposits, and now process claims to refund the same tariffs that Trump illegally collected?

  10. Frankly i’m shocked that the administration is complying with this at all, given their track record with things like following the law and stealing money.

  11. So is he refunding it all to China and those other countries? Because according to him it was these countries that paid the tariffs and not the US based importer.

  12. Returning TO CORPORATIONS. Not to the Americans who paid the tariffs. Because of course not. Another upward redistribution of wealth. Fuck these people.

  13. Cool the rich get richer while we the ones who actually paid for this aren’t getting a dime. Where the portal for us Americans who deserve money from suffering under this party’s leadership?

  14. Luckily The firm Cantor Fitzgerald, which is run by Howard lutniks sons, the Howard lutnik who was Epsteins neighbour for 7 years and is the one who pushed these tariffs and caused every average person globally to be just a little bit more poor, won the tariff redistribution rights. What that means is, Howard, who was Epsteins neighbour for years, but didn’t know him well, took money from all our wallets and made sure his sons would make billions on paying all the companies back that made you pay more. But thankfully his sons are taken care of and all those companies get their money back.

Seriously? What the fuck are we even doing, this has got to be one of the most corrupt things that’s so easy to see it blows my mind. Why is everyone just sitting around like this is ok?
Here is a break down of that money and remember the total was 166 billion:

Based on recent reports and congressional inquiries as of early 2026, the financial involvement of Cantor Fitzgerald (led by Brandon Lutnick, son of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick) in tariff-related services centers on a “litigation finance” model.
The firm has reportedly been pitching a product that allows them to buy the rights to potential government refunds from companies that have paid tariffs.
    The Financial Model
According to internal documents and letters reviewed by news outlets like Wired and cited in congressional demands:
    • Service Percentage: Cantor Fitzgerald was reportedly offering to pay companies 20% to 30% (20 to 30 cents on the dollar) for their tariff refund rights.
    • The Profit Margin: If the tariffs are struck down by the courts and the government pays back the full amount, Cantor Fitzgerald would collect 100% of the refund.
    • For a company that paid $10 million in tariffs, Cantor would pay the company $2 million to $3 million upfront.
    • Cantor would then stand to make a $7 million to $8 million profit (a 3x to 5x return) upon a successful court ruling.

so much damage, so much of people’s money wasted, businesses impacted, trade hampered, trade partners lost, and too late for many. See: farming.

He should have to repay those out of his own account. Taxpayers shouldn’t have to foot the bill.

  17. The people paid the tariffs first. Now, they pay for the refunds.

The people got tariffed twice. It’s so hilarious 😂. Never change, people.

  18. Look forward to the class action lawsuits.

“Did you buy ANYTHING in 2025 then you might qualify for compensation…”

  19. Between this, the tax breaks and the DoGE dividend, American citizens won’t know what to do with their money. 🤣🤣

Doubt any of that makes its way to the consumers. Just like all the Covid bail outs, etc.

  21. This is such a blatant transfer of wealth it’s sickening. Democrats better make this their #1 campaign point because the middle and lower classes basically gave all corporations a massive windfall.
