The first 20 seconds of this have some of the worst CGI I’ve seen this year. Was it so hard to shoot this at a real outdoor bench? And then that’s followed by some horrendously bad exposition dumping at around a minute.
I mean it’s not even Jack Ryan at this point. He’s just a full-on agent now. That said, idm Krasinski in the role(I mean the first season really was good), and the action doesn’t look too bad for a streaming original. Looks like something I’ll watch, not be too bored, give it a 2-3 star rating on Letterboxd, and then completely forget about in an hour.

The only TC games that I’ve liked were Splinter Cell and Wildlands.
I loved the show and am super excited for the movie.Ā I’m probably the wider audience that inspires studios to move away from some book details.
Complaints about Jack Ryan being more of a field agent than Intel guy are valid and I’d like to see that take on it too.
