I watched John Tuggle play at Cal. There is a bit of context that isn’t obvious. Six years earlier, Cal had their all star QB Joe Roth die of cancer. Tuggle was a lunch pail guy that you could count on for 3-4 yards a run straight up the guy. Not flashy. Humbly did his job very well. Tuggle’s death so soon after after Roth’s was eery.
