    I didn’t watch it but if I did I’d say that I really enjoyed it. Nothing will ever live up to the magic of the original series but this was a delight to watch and I hope they continue exploring the adventures of the Aang Gang.

    Mmm, the movie has a huge “Paramount+” logo at the beginning, they were never going to release it in theaters. Paramount had already delayed the release one year with the movie fully finished.

  3. Given that Avatar studios became a thing because Paramount wanted to push Paramount+ I do wonder if a full scale theatrical run was ever actually Paramount’s goal. I do think at least a limited run would have worked out.

    Yes, this is unfortunate because the production companies will not recoup as much as they were projecting. However, the digital age brought this about. If it’s digital, it can be copied and redistributed in minutes. What the production companies meant for profit, the people have leveraged for liberation. When movies were produced on actual film and the reels were sent physically to movies houses… this would have never happened. Maybe it’s time for a cinematic renaissance?
