Really excited for Garland to be doing this. His style and imagery in Men and Annihilation shows that he is a good match for the mix of weird, alien, ancient folklore and beauty that is the Elden Ring universe. 28 Years later (which he wrote) also has this slightly elevated story, and makes be confident that he’d be able to make something sad, beautiful and grotesque IF he’s allowed to, and not just forced into making some high fantasy drivel with a good hero fighting the evil. Fingers crossed it’s more Green Knight, less Warcraft The Movie.

Ngl I gave up on the game because I’m not a masochist but I think the general story is interesting and there’s a lot of cool designs that would be pretty epic in theater. Not quite first weekend level hype yet but I’m very very intrigued.
