I have a feeling people are gonna complain about seeing Hunger Games trailers too much by the time were in November.

I’m very much a “normy” to these movies so just curious. What’s the appeal of the movie if we know that the games just continued? Like the trailer mentions stopping the games, but we know that they didn’t stop, so what’s the hook here for the audience?

I never thought I’ll be interested in Hunger Games again after exhausting Mocking Jay

  5. Whoever kept that “We’re not animals to kill for their entertainment” line in the trailer is a hater. Awful delivery. Otherwise cool trailer. I’m very casual when it comes to these movies (except for the excellent Catching Fire) but this look good.

  6. I think the entire supporting cast looks great but i feel like the actor for Haymitch has no presence and charisma at all. He doesn’t pull me in. At around 1:50, it’s just so tame

That was amazing and very colorful and vibrant. Elle Fanning is love. (And also Jesse but that is always a given).

I havent seen anything from the actor of young Haymitch and I am excited for him!

  8. Oof, the line delivery from Young Haymitch in this trailer is a little off. Everything else looks good though.

SC is assuredly writing her books with movies in mind, but hey at least she is doing it better than JKR and her Fantastic Beasts trash

Elle Fanning already sounds on point as Effie Trinket, but her mannerisms and accent also brought me right back to her energy as Catherine The Great

  11. Why is it so modern looking? Isn’t this supposed to take place decades before the trilogy?

I haven’t read the books, and I honestly really like the look and feel of this but this disconnect just feels a little bit off to me

  12. The cinematography is so much different than Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Makes sense as the books are much different but it also speaks to Francis Lawrence strength as director and Jo Willems as cinematographer

  13. What are the premise of these movies again? I remember seeing parts of the first one and it mostly took place on a tree. I assume it’s like running man where you participate in a dangerous game show to win money?

Francis Lawrence (director of this and four other Hunger Games – Catching Fire through Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) spoke at CinemaCon 2025 about how long this was in development. They announced the book on June 6, 2024, and the movie announcement was the same day. He said he worked with Suzanne Collins for 18 months in secret on the script. Writing/adapting the script while she was writing the book.

This looks fantastic, honestly. I read the book last summer and it was devastating. Can’t wait for this.

So hyped for Jesse Plemons as Plutarch and Lili Taylor as Mags. They did not skimp on acting talent for this.

Maybe I’m being stupid, wasn’t Haymitches whole thing that he spent most of the game hiding, and figuring out how the arena boundary repulsor field thing worked, then used it against the final competitor?

  17. Wow, they just said.. lets hire everyone, that cast.. is insane.. other than the main character.

  18. PM_ME_UR_SEX_VIDEOS on

I didn’t read or watch anything outside of the main series – have the books and movie(s?) been good?

  19. idk, how can they make these prequels, we know how the story ends, theres not going to be anything that major that can happen. Set it a few hundreds or more past the original, something that can be impactful.
