*From Far Out Magazine’s Rachael Pimblett:*

The upcoming Michael Jackson biopic *Michael* reportedly underwent extensive reshoots to remove references to the child abuse allegations that once formed part of the film’s ending.

The film, directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson as the singer, was originally intended to depict the impact of the allegations that emerged during the later stages of the musician’s career. However, reports now suggest that those scenes have been removed entirely.

As a result, the film’s final act has been rewritten to focus instead on Jackson at the height of his musical success, particularly during the era surrounding his *Bad* tour.

I feel like any biopic that excludes his child abuse isn’t worth anything at all

This man isn’t Mickey Mouse or some two-dimensional cartoon character. He’s a complicated person who was a master of his craft while perpetuating a cycle of abuse he experienced with some truly sickening actions.

Shame on everyone involved in this biopic.

His stans are also busy editing out the children in the new photos that have been released recently. I’m tired of it. That man ticked every box of a pedo and people still try to spin it into “he was framed.”

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t it turn out they had to change the ending because it turned out they weren’t legally allowed to depict his victim? This film was always made with the support of the Jackson family and I remember being surprised/impressed that they were going to include the accusations and I was disappointed they weren’t able to and it’s just going to be a puff piece now.

This is being framed like the Jackson estate stepped in and made them change it to not include it but I’m pretty sure it’s like the opposite. They were legally obliged to not include the story because it’s part of the victim’s conditions frim the court case.

I’m the furthest thing from an MJ defender, I just follow movie news and I’m pretty sure and disappointed that’s what happened.

  6. they had to go back in and change the ending because of a legal settlement with the victims family. so fucking stupid i cant wrap my mind around how they messed that up so badly

anyway this movie will make a billion dollars and im just gonna have to tune it out lol
