Hi Reddit, I'm Oscar Boyson, here to answer your questions!

My directorial debut, OUR HERO, BALTHAZAR, is out in select theaters now. It stars Jaeden Martell, Asa Butterfield, and Noah Centineo.

Info about my new movie:

Synopsis:

Co-written and produced by former Huffington Post journalist Ricky Camilleri, it's a 90 minute dark comedy that tackles every toxic American subject under the sun; gun culture, masculinity, social media, school shootings, loneliness, class, performative activism, all told with a dirtbag sense of humor that is starting to feel like the only honest way to approach our dying empire.

    Hi 👋

For someone starting late with no industry connections, what’s the most practical first step to break into film or storytelling today?

  5. What are some of the biggest challenges with being a producer? And now, as a director?

I’m sure having been a producer has been valuable as you dip your toes into directing. Any insights there that you find were valuable?

Hey Oscar! Loved the movie and been recommending to everyone I can. With a movie that has as heavy themes as this one, how was the distribution process for the film and the challenges you guys faced getting this to theatres?

First, huge congratulations on everything thus far and I’m so excited to see your film –

2 quick questions: how do you define the word *producer*

    And

What was the biggest *rabbit out of a hat* trick you pulled producing?

What advice can you give young producers about managing difficult moments onset and how to control an abusive member of staff?
