Hi reddit, we're Nick & Brian, aka BriTANicK. Our new movie, PIZZA MOVIE, is out on Hulu today.
You may also know us from our Youtube sketch-comedy channel, BriTANicK, or from our work on Saturday Night Live & It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
The trailer for PIZZA MOVIE is here, and it stars Gaten Matarazzo, Sean Giambrone, Lulu Wilson, Jack Martin, Peyton Elizabeth Lee, Marcus Scribner, Caleb Hearon, Sarah Sherman, Justin Cooley, and Daniel Radcliffe.
Synopsis: A group of college students go downstairs to their dorm lobby to get a delivery pizza. There’s only one issue: They’re insanely high on a home-made drug, turning their simple journey down two sets of stairs into a mind-bendingly transformative quest.
Here's a new clip: https://youtu.be/5j6C-P2zYxc
We also wrote OVER YOUR DEAD BODY, directed by Jorma Taccone and starring Jason Segel and Samara Weaving, that's out in theaters on 4/26. The trailer for that is here.
Ask us anything! We'll be back at 3:15 PM PT/6:15 PM ET today (Friday 4/3 – film release day!!) to answer questions!

Why does Nick look so pissed off?
BriTANicK has been one of my YouTube guilty pleasures for years and years. My question is Brian any chance of you changing your last name to Mac?
How did you come across remaking The Trip/I Onde Dager?
What are your favourite (if you have any) SNL sketches? And if you could tackle any IP, what would it be, and why?
Thoughts on the “I’m good bro😂😂🤦♂️” meme that has been circulating on twitter? And do you think it has helped or hurt the release of the movie
Hi 👋
When writing comedy, how do you know if a joke is actually funny or just sounds funny in your head?
Wait is that Brian, or is it Briam?
Congratulations on the TWO movies in the pipeline! Is there a world where we get another ‘monologue for thee’ or is that comedy well dry?
Been a huge fan of your work since I first watched your stuff on YouTube back in college.
In 2011 you guys were in a movie called Searching for Sonny written and directed by Andrew Disney. I saw it at the Phoenix Film Festival and absolutely adored it.
How did that project come together? And from your recollection, was the final project very close to the original script or was there a fair amount of improvisation on set? A number of punchlines felt very BriTANick.
Got an unusual story about *Always Sunny*.
So one weekend I was looking for something to do in L.A. I read listings in *L.A. Weekly* and saw an afternoon of performance art was being hosted by “Gracie DeVito” in West Hollywood. Didn’t know who she was but it sounded fun so I went.
I got there early and went in the back. It turned out Gracie was Danny DeVito’s daughter and Danny was sitting in the back. So I chatted with him and Gracie a little.
One thing I told them was that I was currently living on two gallons of milk a day. Which was true. I’ve long been fascinated with milk and still drink a great deal of it.
Forward some months and I got a day of extra work on *Always Sunny*. It was through Central Casting, no connections on the show, etc. It happened to be an episode where someone has spiked the milk at a wedding with PCP.
I’ve always wondered if Danny told the writers about my diet and they got the idea for that episode, well the part about milk anyway. Or maybe it was coincidence. But it was strange and rather Zen that one of only two days I worked as a *Sunny* extra the episode concerned milk. If you guys say you wrote the milk/PCP episode that will be a pretty nice new facet ha ha.
What would you do for a Klondike bar?
To Brian:
Have you considered changing your name to Bri Mac?
What’s a good car 🚙
From a film production standpoint: What was one of the most challenging experiences each of you had on set and if it was something that required out-of-the-box thinking… how did you solve it?
Also, loved seeing you guys perform at Underground Arts in Philly. The show was fantastic.
What’s it like having a famous ultimate frisbee athlete for a brother??
Did you once accidentally call Radcliffe Harry?
Hi Nick and Brian, thanks for joining us 🙂
What was it like premiering at SXSW? Any cool moments/highlights from that? Did cast attend? Catch any other movies at the fest?
Did Daniel Radcliffe do all his own butterfly flapping noises in the movie?
Tits or ass?
What’s the craziest drug experience either of you have ever had?
And do Gen Z still do psychedelics?
What were your college age sketches received like in your local college community?
As an outsider I can clearly look at them and say they’ve been an instant classic to me for more than almost two decades, but I’m curious if it changed your experiences or if your classmates sort of revered you for what you were filming in those days.
Did Hannah ever repay your friend for their ginger ale and will we get an EATPIH 2?
I actually just began to start watching your videos recently, at the suggestion of Reddit. Though I have no question, I just wanted to say it was an instant subscribe. You are great writers, and I think we’re entering a new golden age of sketch, as people seem to be getting tired of stand-up. I look forward to more great things!
Hi Nick, I wanted to ask, how did “True Facts About Grant Anthony O’Brien” come about, and are there any plans for more episodes?
For both Brian and Nick, do you have a favourite BriTANicK project and/or Dropout show?
Sean Giambrone and Gaten Matarazzo both starred in shows set in the 80s. Do they seem like products of their time (Gen Z) or do they have the feel of a kid who lived the 80s? They both spent a decade playing a character from the 1980s, so I’d assume they were influenced by that.
How long were you guys developing the script for?
Can you talk about a challenging aspect of getting this movie made or making this movie?
So happy to see you guys continuing to work together. In this dark dreary world, you’ve been making me laugh for nearly 2 decades.
What is one thing you think people should know about this movie?
Did your “Fed up” DiGiorno (2008) sketch influence any part of the movie?
Did you take my Ginger ale?
I’ve been following you since the Academy Award Winning Movie Trailer sketch on YouTube you did 15+ years ago and it’s been so fun to see you guys find success together!
I also saw your live show in London a few years ago and it’s maybe the best thing I’ve ever seen at the Soho Theatre. You two are SO in step with each other.
What’s the secret to your happy creative marriage? And do you ever do anything apart?
Does Brian regret not going to SUNY Plattsburgh?
