This is the first time in the dexter franchise that teased a big bad all throughout a season only to become the next seasons big bad. This is exciting bc it has actual proper build up from season 1.

See, what really makes Dexter at it’s best is if he has a compelling antagonist/rival for a given season, imo.
There’s a reason that John Lithgow as Trinity Killer is still perhaps the most critically acclaimed performance in the series, as he was a great contrast to Dexter (as were Ice Truck, Prado, Lilah,).
Really hope we get Cox and Hall flexing their acting chops together.
