Scott Mills has been sacked by the BBC following allegations about his personal conduct.
The BBC says "while we do not comment on matters relating to individuals we can confirm Scott Mills is no longer contracted and has left the BBC".
Mills took over the breakfast show from Zoe Ball in January 2025.
The 53-year-old joined Radio 2's weekday schedule in 2022 when he replaced Steve Wright as the host of the afternoon slot.
Prior to that he worked on Radio 1 and hosted a weekend show on BBC Radio 5 Live.

This is big considering there’s not really been any rumours around him, and this is the biggest radio show in the UK

This feels like a random thing to note but he made a cameo in the EastEnders flashforward episode at New Years, so they clearly felt comfortable enough about his position as of January and whatever’s happened is relatively out of the blue

Okay this must be BAD because Scott is a BBC staple and less powerful people have been protected by them fairly recently
Really strange! He always seemed well liked and respected by colleagues so I’d be surprised if it was some sort of bullying incident.
The fact that they fired him so suddenly makes me worry that it’s something really bad.

Shocking. I listen to him every day and have done for decades. I know you can never tell but I didn’t ever get a creepy vibe from Mills.
