Surely it’s cheaper to hire a chauffeur full time than to pay for insurance, fix demolished cars or replace them, deal with pissed off people, deal with lawyers and fines, handling court, etc. I’m a schmuck and *my* time is more valuable than that, what is stopping him?

If you took his license away he would drive without a license. There’s something wrong with the thought process of someone who would drive drunk with that amount of money. Some narcissism or god complex that a typical mind can’t rationalise. He needs a long time with therapists away from cars.
He could take a nap in the back of a limo and wake up home. He could have the driver tuck him into bed with a hot water bottle. There’s no need for this
