They don’t get the recognition??? Acting nominations at the Daytime Emmys were basically exclusively for them for decades.

  2. It’s so weird that he’s taking about this right after John oliver did a piece on them that focused heavily on this very plot line

I agree with him. Diedre playing a possessed Marlena is one of my earliest memories and it has stayed with me!

  4. My mom used to watch those every day . they were filmed live ,those people had to work hard constantly with little time for themselves, unless their character was in a coma that week . Now it takes 3 years to get six episodes of questionable worth .

I grew up in the 90’s…I used to watch Days of our Lives with my mom when I got home from school. The intro song will always be a banger.

  6. It was damn good acting.

The writing, however… good lord that whole plot was cringe as hell. Very well acted, but good lord.

Probably because even the best soap opera acting is being done to lift terrible scripts and bloated dialogue

Gosling can appreciate the struggle of making something from nothing, commitment as it were, but it doesn’t automatically translate to something worthy of praise

I could be very committed to collecting my toenails, scientific about it, but I would still be collecting dead ends
