  1. I know very little about this guy except that he’s solid as hell in anything I’ve ever seen him in.

YES! Love Himesh Patel. I wasn’t totally sold on an X-Files Reboot, but now I am

dude, Station Eleven is easily the most underrated series in the last few years, it’s honestly some of the best TV I’ve ever seen and nobody talks about it

them straight up grabbin big cast from it as the stars bodes so well for this if the casting was inspired by that show

As long as he isn’t playing Mulder. Make this a new character of his own

Uh oh, POC replacing non-POC actors on a classic series, run by a director who focuses on POC perspectives.

The rage will flow with certain parts of the audience…

Who’s taking bets on the magnitude of review bombing (assuming it’s actually decently made)?

  6. >“Two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents (Deadwyler, Patel) form an unlikely bond when they are assigned to a long-shuttered division devoted to cases involving unexplained phenomena.”

If this is the premise, there’s really no need to make it reboot. The X-Files were “shuttered” after Mulder & Scully and now they’re being reopened. Just make it a sequel/continuation.

  7. I’m not saying Yesterday was the best executed movie I’ve watched in rhe past 10 or so years, but it’s absolutely one of my most favourite premises for a movie.

I really liked Patel in Station Eleven too.
