NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani addresses regular heckler Raul Rivera at his presser: “The day that I don’t hear him yelling at me, it means he got priced out of this place, and I don’t want that. We need to make this a city where it’s affordable enough to yell at your politicians.”

This man is making it hard to stick to my mantra!! *we don’t stan politicians, we don’t stan politicians*

How can you not have a moment of self reflection in that moment and be like “this guy literally cares about me despite how I act”?

  3. He is doing exactly how I hoped he would, this is the grace and smart rebuttals that Obama had. I would love to see so much more of this

Been waiting for someone to catch this guy on the off foot. Still waiting. He’s really good.

This is what frustrates Republican/Conservatives/Maga – intelligent witty effective communication. Older Dems need to attend professional development on this led by Mamdani and AOC.

He’s very quick on his feet. Remember when he was riding a bike and someone yelled “communist!” and he’s like “it’s cyclist actually” lmao

I have to say, the more I hear and see of Mr. Mamdani, the more I’m impressed with the content of his character.

I was born a Muslim. But I don’t identify as one with the strong faith of a real Muslim. That said, I am so wholesome seeing Zohran speak every single time with true representation of the REAL MUSLIM FAITH.

I don’t know Mamdani, nor do I necessarily trust him more or less than the average politician, but it must feel nice having someone represent you that’s both charming and seems to genuinely care for their constituents

I feel like he’s the embodiment of Leslie Knope. A true public servant who despite the criticism pushes on for the betterment of all, not just his supporters.

The president and his administration disregard the constitution all the time. So with that said, put Mandani in the Oval Office. He deserves it more than most past (and current) presidents

  12. That’s such a banger of a response. Calls the heckler out without being rude and drives home that Mamdani actually gives a shit. It’s times like these I wish Article 2, section 1 of the US Constitution wasn’t a thing.

We need more leaders like this man. I don’t give a damn about religions background. If you can do a job with honor and some semblance of intelligence you have my support.
