As a Gundam fan I can’t make heads or tails on any of these castings until I get a blurb on what the movie will be about because none of these castings really point at anything.
There’s only a handful of characters in the entire franchise where you can cast an actor and immediately know who they’re going to play and they definitely haven’t done that so far.

Yes it’s woefully optimistic to assume this is a Grandpa Gundam adaptation but most of the casting fits.
