Based on Cry to Heaven, the 1982 novel by Anne Rice, it is written, produced, and directed by Tom Ford. Rice’s Cry to Heaven is a sprawling historical drama set in the vibrant, baroque world of 18th-century Italy, where opera and politics intertwine.

'The film follows Tonio, a nobleman castrated by his half-brother, who rises to fame as a soprano under the guidance of opera star Guido. The story explores betrayal, identity, and redemption.'

tom ford directing this specific group of people means every single frame and costume in this movie is about to look unimaginably gorgeous tbh.

Oh, this is awesome to hear.

I’m a big fan of Tom Ford (I’m wearing his cologne right now) and think he’s done a great job directing his other two features – Nocturnal Animals and A Single Man.

    What a talent.
