I hate Upham more than any character in all Media fiction or non fiction, movies or books.
I just remember being in a theater just raging. I fucking hate that dude!

This movie scarred me deeply.
I was 16 when it came out. Usher at a movie theater. In this timeframe, 1998, many veterans of the war still alive, they came to see the movie in droves.
The Normandy scene was to intense for many, there really hadn’t been anything like it in film up to the point. They left the movie, stoic, but tears running down their faces, crying like babies but not a peep.

I’ll never forget it.
