It’s always possible that the IP gets sold to a different network. With streaming services throwing billions around like candy, maybe there’s hope this might resurface on a network like STARZ or HBO.

The series was not canceled. You’re using the wrong terminology. What happened was that Hulu didn’t pick up the pilot. I don’t know why people keep using the wrong terminology because it’s not true that it was canceled. You can’t cancel a series that never aired. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer revival effectively did not exist so it cannot be canceled.
