I enjoyed this movie but it didn’t need a sequel and I think it taking 12 years for it to start production is a pretty good indicator of them not having any story thought out for a sequel originally.

Guess It Follows is nostalgic now and has earned itself a legacy sequel.

Film is titled “They Follow” because the climax will be realizing the only way to defeat the entities is a street basketball match, where they use the supernatural infection against them through the power of b-ball friendship & teamwork; eradicating them through dunk exorcism.

This kind of horror just shouldn’t have sequels unless some outside force caused them to botch the original. And It Follows was not botched.
