Summary: “Warriors of the Deep” is a Fifth Doctor story released in 1984 and unanimously considered one of the worst stories in the entire series. Next week, the Season 21 Blu-ray will be released, and Warriors of the Deep has had all its terrible visual effects updated to CGI and even new battle shots filmed by the current Doctor Who team, in an attempt to improve the story.

I haven’t quite gotten back up to this one on my classic Who rewatch and I don’t remember it from the first time though… But who is really asking for replacing classic nil-budget practical effects with CGI stuff? Weird decision, but maybe it helps, I dunno.
I am over the moon, however, about the recovery of two lost serials from the Dalek Master Plan!
