This sneak peek is doing a better job than the big trailer for me. It shows the tone and the pacing without trying to sell every big moment. Ryan Gosling feels like a good fit, and the sci fi vibe looks grounded instead of noisy.

If you read the book, did this match what you pictured.

If you did not read it, did this sell you more than the trailer did.

Nice! I hope they finally show how the movie ends after sharing the first two acts.

I already anticipate Ryan Gosling killing it with his performance, but I’m particularly excited to see Ken Leung (especially fresh off of him being awesome in Industry S4)

The trailers have ruined this movie completely. Gave away literally the entire movies plot points and twists.

  4. Looks fun, just like the book. There sure are parts of the book that you have to suspend disbelief for, though

What does it mean “see it first March 14 & 15” but in theaters March 19?

  7. To everyone saying that they’ve given away the story in the trailer, I will agree with you, but I’m betting they get more people showing up opening weekend for a astronaut – alien buddy movie than if they had simply marketed the movie with endless shots of Ryan Gosling looking hapless behind a control panel.

The alien, not the mission, is the hook.
