Alysa Liu just uploaded this to her IG story a few minutes ago. While I’m sure she’s grateful for the appreciation by old and new fans and absolutely deserves her newfound fame, I really hope people understand that she is also a human being that deserves to have her boundaries and autonomy respected.

In society we have to get back to a basic respect/kindness of people.
That will solve a lot of issues.
Good for her for speaking up! I wish more famous people would tell the paps, overzealous fans, and autograph hounds to kindly fuck off. Celebrities don’t owe us anything.

I knew she was about to get the Chappell Roan special. Becoming an insta-celeb sounds like pure nightmare fuel especially as a woman. I’m just waiting for her to get cancelled. Whats the over/under on 2 months?
She’s lovely but waiting for the backlash to happen to her for whatever inane reason the public decides. It always happens like clockwork. I hope she has good support system with her because the pedestal people are putting her on is worrying.
I understand there being fanfare waiting to celebrate her, but celebrities are still people and need to be treated with respect. It’s sad she has to ask people to mind their behaviour.
