demi owes her entire career to selena. selena FOUGHT for disney to give her the slightest bit of attention by bringing her to wizards tapings and having her sing for the executives during the filming breaks. selena even gave up the camp rock role and personally recommended demi to have the lead role instead of her and that’s when they launched their youtube channel and did a photoshoot with popstar magazine to get the general public’s eye on demi.
i don’t believe they “continue” to have a friendship at all, and that’s fine. demi clearly still holds some resentment towards her for whatever reason when without her she’d still be a nobody in texas.
