People on reddit were arguing and explaining “well actually the joke is people who use Tourette’s to…” when the disease isn’t even well known enough and there have been virtually no known cases of people hididng their racism/ bigotry behing the disease. That “joke” was ableist and it’s disappointing Connor Storrie even agreed to participate in that mess.

It’s just so tone deaf. You would’ve thought the writers would be smarter

when are we all collectively admitting that most snl skits are just tasteless, tone deaf and an attempt to desensitize us to serious topics by making jokes out of them??

I’m raising a Black son with Tourette syndrome, and he’s been bullied and yelled at for things he can’t control not just by other kids, but by teachers too. I literally moved to NYC so he could attend a private school for children with special needs and feel safe.

The SNL sketch was in poor taste. I just wish people would move on at this point because the situation has been hurtful on all sides.

SNL has always been tone deaf. I remember when they backed Ned Fulmer.

SNL really needs to overhaul their writing room if they still think punching down at a disability is ‘edgy’ or ‘satire’ in 2026. Anita is right, this kind of media representation has real-world consequences for the safety of neurodivergent people.”

SNL always love the punching down thing. And we remember them mocking Aimee Lou Wood’s teeth!

As a mother with a son who has TS, and who also isn’t easily offended; she is absolutely right.
