I’m sure this won’t increase the price at all… Right?

Let’s just get it over with and let them all finally become a single multi bazillion dollar company and end this charade of no more media monopolization once and for all. It’ll make it easier to not subscribe to anything.

So HBO MAX and……….I guess Spongebob?

My question is what’s going to happen to those Jan 6th documentaries on HBO.

You guys all excited to do this again in five years when Paramount files for bankruptcy?
mrnicegy26 on
Considering the way they have handled Showtime shows, I am not sure if HBO will be handled well.
Not just in terms of independence of subject matter but also greenlighting niche shows or not running popular shows to the ground.
Upbeat_Tension_8077 on
While I wouldn’t be surprised if multiple shows on HBO will be affected creatively, I have a bad feeling The Pitt in particular is gonna be touched under Paramount’s control.
& We won’t see a The Rehearsal S3 bc Nathan Fielder refuses to work with Paramount again

They keep spending money and I keep saving money.
I haven’t missed Disney and Paramount: I won’t miss HBO.

The idea of the HBO brand operating with independence gives me hope that we will still get high quality HBO shows, but im not thrilled by the situation at all
Paramount does have some occasionally great shows (Mobland is a recent example) but it’s still not a service I subscribe to often

Time to cancel HBO Max because I operate with independence.

Yeah fucking right. I saw what you pricks did to Showtime. This deal ***must*** be blocked.

So this means HBO and Showtime are going to be the same subscription service now lmao

We want I Love Lucy, Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith, Star Trek Universe, The Waltons, Taxi, Dallas, Cheers, Full House, Living Single, Frasier, Friends, ER, South Park, HBO Originals- Sopranos, Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, The Wire, Veep, Big Bang Theory, Arrowverse—all in one! Then we’d talk

Right. Independent. Sure.
Doesn’t matter to me. I’m not renewing either of these that I have an annual plan.
Conveniently they each expire in these next few weeks.
I’m going to be doing my part to usher along Skydance having to sell or face bankruptcy.

Lovely glad I cancelled on Friday.

Imagine trying to watch A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms (or any other great show really) using the crappy Paramount+ App.
I have so much PTSD from using that app (to watch Star Trek, Champions League, a couple paramount shows/movies) that it has subconsciously trained me to be hesitant to press the back button cuz it usually just freezes and ruins the whole experience.
fullload93 on
Well for starters, Paramount can ditch their bullshit app that sucks ass and constantly freezes. Add all their content to the HBO app instead.
