Love that he’s clearly been taking dance classes and is having fun with it! Go on Harry

He can dance 🕺 but too bad the song is just underwhelming. It’s not a hit song material tbh like “as it was”

Is this his first time doing dance choreography for a song? (Genuinely asking, I can’t remember any choreographed performance from him that’s more than just walking and jumping around)

  5. His singing is pitchy, choreo intentionally bad, staging was messy. I get the happy vibe he’s going for, but this was awful.

I’ve had a couple of drinks and this is fun, it’s a mess but a fun mess and it’s cool to see him try something else

  7. Harry always feels like he wants to be more experimental but is too scared to do it. The dancing feels low energy and self-conscious.

All I’m gonna say is that the internet eviscerated dua lipa for a similar performance when I’m already seeing so many people calling this “charming” and “fun”

And I’m not saying this isn’t either of those things or that he deserves the same backlash, the double standards between male and female pop stars are just so glaring

  9. This song is kind of ass, I’m surprised he chose this as his first single off the album. Now I’m curious how the rest of the album will sound like…

  10. the dance and outfit is giving me Eurovision entrant from a underdog Eastern European nation that surprisingly does very well

Harry just doesn’t have a voice for this kind of music. He’s too bland to match the exciting pace and too lacking in personality to even be interesting over the beat (for example The Blue Nile have disco adjacent tracks but at least tje lead singers voice has character).

He works a lot better over the more low-key and slow cuts. When he tries to be exciting it doesn’t work as well

  12. I think the song is nice as parts away from this need for every single to be catchy and algorithmically tailored for maximum replay value. The goofy dance fits the sincere joy and laissez-aller of this part of the song. It seems earnest and I’m all for earnest art.

Man even the professional dancers behind him are struggling to make that choreography look good.

  14. I’ve seen worse but I miss the unique and interesting choreo from the early 2010s from Gaga and Beyonce and also those high energy choreographed performances of Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, and Britney back then.

People can’t sing live nowadays and a lot of them even sound off key on the record with autone and shit. Even the live choreo look sloppy. This is not just exclusive to Harry Styles btw. It’s all of them new singers and Taylor Swift. They all suck.
