Josh Safdie’s ‘Marty Supreme’ has tied the BAFTA record for most losses in a single night after going 0-for-11. The A24 contender joins “Women in Love” (1969) & “Finding Neverland” (2004) as the only films to go winless with 11 nominations.
The only award this movie was expected to win was Best Actor for Chalamet.
However if Leo couldn’t win here when his film won pretty much every other award it was up for, doubt he’s winning the Oscar. Men’s winner totally up in the air.

One of the worst movies I’ve seen this year. I don’t have an issue with a flawed protagonist but the way this movie was filmed I was not invested whatsoever. Also, too much screen time on that dumb dog side plot

I can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a more overhyped movie. It almost felt like a parody of both A24 movies as well as Safdie brothers movies. Chalamet did not have the charisma or acting ability to carry this type of character like Sandler and Pattinson did before him.
