he wants to focus on fun great let him. Heres my feeling if a entertainer wants to tell me their believes then I’m gonna judge them accordingly for that. I don’t need to know the political stances of the band I like or an actor. If they are not making political statements then they aren’t trying to influence anyone and I’m fine with them doing their chosen job of entertainment. But the second they offer it then I get to make my choice. And that choice maybe to stop giving money to projects they do. It was their call to put the info out there. They can sit in the bed that it makes. At the end of the day it may make them or cost the dollars. They aren’t leaders they aren’t required to take a stance on things. Never in my life have I thought wow I used to be for genocide but then George Clooney said it was bad and that really made me reevaluate my stance. The only outcome for those who want to share their views is losing money because they will alienate a percentage of fans. If they believe strongly enough that they need to speak then they can its a free country. I’ve never liked a band whos music I thought was crap before because they came out as democrats. I have though not watched movies of those who support things I find massively repugnant. There are plenty of movies I don’t need to watch everyone. So being negative towards this actor who just wants to act and entertain seems out of line.

This thing now where people are asking for political viewpoints of famouns people and then jumping on them if they don’t want to answer should stop First, it’s irrelevant what their opinion is to the greater picture, and second, not everyone wants to engage in something that is so volatile and devisive. Those that wish to engage have plenty of outlets to do so without solicitation, so no reason to try and trap them by throwing them in the fray, and we certainly shouldn’t be assuming their views when they decline to engage.
