BREAKING: The Pima County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from the FBI, has detained an individual for questioning in connection with the abduction of Nancy Guthrie, a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation told ABC News.

Hope this finally brings some answers situations like this are every family’s nightmare.

Wow, as much as I wish that Nancy is safe and sound, I just hope that this detainment brings Savannah and her siblings some closure.
On one hand that’s amazing that they’ve narrowed it down, hopefully the Guthrie family can finally have some closure to this nightmare or an ordeal.
On the other hand, wouldn’t it be amazing if we had the resources to treat all kidnappings like Nancy’s has been treated?
But again it’s still great that they have someone. Based on past news reports I know there’s a high likelihood that Nancy is no longer alive, and that must be devastating for the family to go through. It’ll be interesting to see who the suspects are and if their motives were something other than financial.
I don’t have much faith in kash Patel but I hope this leads to actually finding Nancy
TMZ also says that it wasn’t anyone related to her, so hopefully people can be a bit more sensitive to the family
If it’s true that the family was cleared and the person detained isn’t a family member, the Guthries need to sue the fuck out of Ashleigh Banfield. Because of her people have been harassing Annie and her husband and hyper analyzing Annie in all the videos released.

I feel terrible this happened, but does arresting a suspect in this case rise to the level of national televisual interruption? The editors over at NBC seem to think that the rest of 2026 is a distraction from the Guthrie abduction.
