One of the most beautiful and heartbreaking scenes ever put to film. Danny Elfman’s score does so much of the emotional heavy lifting.

I did the same dance when I worked at a cabinet makers when they were cutting mdf … back when they removed all the safety guards

Movie is absolutely iconic in just the fact that Elfman’s Score draws such a strong emotional response. It’s arguably Danny Elfman’s weakest Tim Burton film (Sleepy Hollow -> Beetlejuice -> Edward Scissorhands) score wise, but it’s definitely the most emotionally driven.

This scene is pure movie magic. The music, the slow spin, and the snow falling from the ice.
It is romantic and sad at the same time. One of the most beautiful moments Burton ever did.

Wasn’t there a porno based on this movie?

I’d seen this movie a couple times throughout my life, but it wasn’t until this December that it really clicked with me how beautiful it is. Dianne Wiest is the secret MVP.
